What does the recipient see when a Moonrise card arrives?
The recipient gets an email containing the artwork, readable card wording and an Open your card link. The private page starts with an envelope that opens and reveals the card. They can watch the animation, switch between the front and inside, read your message and replay the animation. They do not need to create a Moonrise account.
The email is a readable invitation
The greeting email identifies the sender name you entered and includes the card’s artwork and wording. That gives the recipient something to read even before opening the web experience. Their email app may hide images or place unfamiliar messages in another folder; the link is the route to the full card.
The greeting is not a public social post. A person with the private link can open it, so avoid placing highly sensitive information in the message and ask recipients to keep the link private.
The little opening moment
On the card page, the recipient opens the envelope and the actual artwork comes out. The controls let them look at the front, turn to the inside or replay the animation after reading. Your personal message and sender name stay with the greeting; no recipient list is displayed.
Use the preview before paying to check the visual and wording together. Playback depends on the recipient’s browser and device, and the email itself is not a promise that an animation will autoplay inside their inbox. Greeting links are intended to stay available for one year from the scheduled send date, as explained in the Terms.
