Sending & delivery
Can I schedule an e-card for later?
Yes. Choose the animated e-card, select a later delivery date and time, and complete checkout before that time. Moonrise records the exact delivery instant using your device’s timezone. You can schedule within the next year; delivery is attempted at or shortly after the chosen time, subject to processing and email-provider availability.
Check the timezone on your device
The scheduling form shows the timezone your browser is using. The time you choose is converted to an exact instant for storage. If you are travelling or sending across timezones, work out what that instant means for the recipient before paying. A morning on your device may be an afternoon somewhere else.
Your private order page displays the delivery time in the viewing device’s timezone, with the timezone shown. Scheduled receipt emails use a readable UTC time so the email does not guess where you are. These can look different while referring to the same moment.
Payment comes first; the greeting waits
Payment is collected at checkout, not on the future delivery date. The order confirmation can arrive after payment while the card remains waiting for its scheduled send. Moonrise checks the delivery queue every five minutes, and provider or network delays can add time. Choose some breathing room for an important occasion rather than relying on an exact minute.
For a group, every recipient uses the same send time and message, with an individually addressed greeting. Check the entire list before checkout. Contact support promptly about a mistake; a schedule change or cancellation is not promised by the current checkout flow.
